The battery door on the remote is attached with a zip tie. Outstanding condition overall - the condition will please even the most discerning audiophile.

What is Included: Amplifier, 4 Electro-Harmonix 6L6GC tubes, 2 Tung-Sol 12AX7 tubes, Manual, Power cable, Factory packaging. Service History: Upgrades installed by Cary in 2015 include DACT stepped attenuator volume control, Clarity Cap output capacitors, Hexfred rectifiers, Greyhill input selector switch, Solan PP capacitors, Nichocon capacitors in power supply, Kimber internal cabling and WBT speaker binding posts. Functional Notes: Due to the upgraded volume control to a stepped attenuator, volume control from the remote control is disabled. Operational condition of this item is excellent, fully tested and no issues found. Other Notes: The included matched quad tube set is brand new, with less than 5 hours of use during testing.

The Xciter is rated at five Watts per channel but plays more like fifty, maybe more. Each channel of the amplifier circuitry consists of three tubes, first a 12AX7A for input gain and driver stage; both sections operate in Class A with minimal feedback. Next, a pair of 6L6GC tubes configured as triodes operate in a push-pull configuration to drive your speakers with wonderful class-A power.

The Xciter offers three single-ended inputs and a pair of gold plated five-way binding posts for speaker cables. The front of the unit has controls for power, input selection, volume control and a headphone output.
