Fisher X-100 Tube Stereo Integrated Amplifier EL84 12AX7 Works Great Clean

  

I believe this is the first unit in the X-100 series. A really fine condition tube amp by one of the premier companies of the time period. Uses 6BQ5 output tubes which are easily attained today - included are a set all rated strong on my BK-667 tester. All the tubes have been tested and are green on my tester. I've gone thought the power supply and checked the capacitors to verify all is well - no hum at all on this - someone had replaced the power supply capacitor cans and coupling caps at some point in this unit's history.

All controls were deoxidized and all of them are working as they should. All knobs are original and really look sharp freshly polished. I don't replace parts just because they are old. The new stuff going in is not likely going to last another 60 years like the original parts.

I make sure they are doing what they should be doing or only then do I replace with new. All the inputs have been tested. Bias has been set per Service Manual. Uses four 6BQ5/EL84 power tubes (RCA), 1 5AR4 rectifier (Fisher/Mullard), two 7247 (Mullard & RCA), four 12AX7 (RCA, Raytheon, GE). This is a classic amplifier that will only appreciate in value over time. For export purposes this unit has.
