Up for your purchasing pleasure. HARMAN/KARDON model AX20 "Nocturne" VACUUM TUBE AMP INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER. Stereo preamplifier with mono power amplifier. Works perfectly, just professionally serviced, switches and controls cleaned and lubricated, several new capacitors, new AC power cord and convenience outlets (identical to originals). Variable cosmetics: knobs are original and excellent, front panel very good+ to excellent-, metal cabinet sides and top exhibit typical mottling of the gold-tone anodizing. Interesting piece of early Hi-Fi/stereo history, this unit was intended to serve two purposes. If you already had a mono setup, adding this gave you full stereo amplification at low cost - you simply connected your existing basic mono amplifier input to the left channel preamp output of the AX20, added a second speaker, upgraded your signal sources and off you went - all the controls were effectively on the AX20's front panel.

If you currently had nothing except a limited budget, the AX20 gave you instant full-featured mono amplifier capability with mono OR stereo signal sources, then in the future, you could add H/K's (or any other brand) basic second-channel amplifier to have full stereo. Supports tuner, aux, mag phono and tape head inputs. Has contour (loudness) slide switch, speaker selector slide switch, rumble filter slide switch, phono/tape EQ slide switch RIAA vs.

7-1/2 IPS, separate loudness and balance controls, ganged bass and treble controls, power-on pilot light and function selector (stereo, reverse, mono, left only, right only). Has proper tape out jacks (not affected by volume/balance/tone control settings).

All signal jacks are RCA. Has screw terminals for the right channel speaker (8 or 16 ohms impedance).

Has two switched convenience outlets on the rear. Tube complement 12AU7, 12AT7, 12AX7 2, 6BQ5/EL84 2, 6CA4. Has two internal hum-balance controls and output-tube cathode-balance control. Guaranteed to be as described and not DOA.
