YAQIN VK-2100 Hybrid Tube/SS Integrated Amplifier Near-Mint

  

I bought this delightful amplifier (new) on a lark last year and rigged up an LED strip in the tube window to make the display come alive! Then placed it in one of my'vintage stereo museum' racks because it seemed to fit. Lately it occurs to me that I shouldn't have new pieces there since they never get used and new pieces in particular should be used! This one has only a few hours on it. The faceplate is unmarked; some reflections in the pics.

The amp is called a hybrid because it uses tubes (valves) in the input section and transistors in the output section. This is why you get the attractive tube coloration in the tone but gobs of clear power for driving speakers. Note that many promotional shots of this unit (at Amazon, for example) show artificial lighting in the tube window.

When you get it you discover that the tube window is actually dark. The sound, meanwhile, is astonishingly clear and the tone slightly warm.

It seems more than powerful enough to drive any speakers you might have. Tubes / Valves : Toshiba 2SA1943 x 2 / SC5200 x 2 / 6N1 x 4.
