Up for sale is a Kit1-15 300B Integrated Amp. Please read the entire description. This amp has a number of upgraded features from the typical Kit1-15 amps.

NOS Tubes (Sylvania 6SN7 WGT, Tung-Sol 5687 bronze plates, RCA 5U4GB). More Audio Note 1W Non-Magnetic Tantalum capacitors than the standard Kit1-15. The original Kit1-15 amps are highly regarded for the extremely high quality components (Audio Note transformers, caps, resistors, etc). But they have a reputation as being a bit slow & sluggish sounding. The V-Cap CuTF caps completely solve that issue while also adding loads of extra detail & resolution.

The amp also originally had metal films in a number of places throughout the signal path. I changed all of the remaining resistors in the signal path to the Audio Note 1W Non-Magnetic Tantalums. These component changes along with the NOS Tubes make this a very excellent sounding amp.

This circuit has way more power than your typical Single Ended 300B circuit. It also has a lot more bass which is very tightly controlled by the V-Cap Capacitor upgrade.

And it is DEAD SILENT. I have 97dB efficient horns & I can crank the amp to 10 with 0 noise. To the point where you need to stick your ear up to the tweeter to tell it's on.

The tubes all test new on my Amplitrex AT1000. All 3 inputs are wired up w/ a selector switch on the front. The build quality was very poor & most of the screws throughout the amp had come loose. So when it arrived to me everything was either unattached or loose.

I completely disassembled the amp & rebuilt it from the ground up solid as a rock. Have lots of experience building & restoring amps. There was some minor damage to the chassis that is not visible unless you flip the amp upside down. The bottom panel didn't fit right so I had to get things adjusted & straightened out so that now everything is as it should be. There was a few cosmetic scuffs on the labels of some electrolytic caps but nothing that affects their function.

A few final things to note. The caps & resistors are not fully broken in yet.

It already sounds fantastic but I would put another 100-200 hours on this to get everything settled. The chassis is not your typical kit amp chassis. It is thick & heavy as hell. Those giant transformers also add a massive amount of weight.
