Luxman SQ38FD MK-II vacuum tube integrated amplifier Operation confirmed japan. All parts were disassembled and cleaned. The front panel, back panel, top panel slits, and switch knobs were cleaned with Magiclean.

The power block electrolytic capacitors were confirmed to have no problems such as loss in capacity. The preamp block electrolytic capacitors were confirmed to have no problems such as loss in capacity. The power coupling capacitors were replaced with new OrangeDrop715P.

Almost all of the power section CRs have been replaced with new ones, so you can rest assured. All film capacitors in the preamp section were replaced with new MKP1813 series capacitors.

All electrolytic capacitors in the preamp section were replaced with new ones. The balance volume was replaced with a new Alps RK271 series MN type capacitor. The semi-fixed resistors for bias adjustment and DC balance adjustment were replaced with new Copal RJ-13S resistors.

The semi-fixed resistors for AC balance adjustment were replaced with new Copal RJ-13S resistors. Replaced the B voltage rectifier diode with a new high voltage product (1000V 2A). Replaced the bias voltage rectifier diode with a new product. Replaced all film capacitors in the low cut filter that were generating noise.

Replaced the speaker terminals with large gold plated products that are compatible with banana plugs. Replaced the power connector with a 3P inlet type. Disassembled and cleaned the speaker output impedance changeover switch.

Replaced the DIN connector with a new one. Replaced the headphone jack with a new one. Reason for replacing the headphone jack.

The SQ38FD uses the old-fashioned method of speaker output passing through the headphone jack. Which is a very important part. Deterioration will distort the sound. However, it has a great advantage. You can listen to the sound of the vacuum tubes through headphones.

A cathode resistor has been added for bias adjustment, so it can be adjusted very easily with a tester. Basically, this unit is adjusted to 410mV (plate current is 41mA) by simply making the voltage of the earth and the 10th pin of the vacuum tube all the same.

The balance of the PP is adjusted so that the 10th pins of the vacuum tubes are measured together and the balance volume is adjusted so that it is 0V. The 50CA10 vacuum tube is an NEC black plate. The 6AQ8 is made by Panasonic, and the 6267 is made by NEC. The 12AX7 in the pre-amplifier section are all made by MATSUSHITA.

AUX1, AUX2, AUX3, PHONO1, PHONO2 sound output confirmed. The speakers are playing with a dynamic and very wonderful sound. The REC-OUT and MONITOR functions related to the tape recorder have been confirmed, and the DIN connector has not been confirmed, but I think it can be used. The CD player is silent even at full volume with the CD player stopped, and no noise was confirmed even when my ear was placed close to the speaker. There is a slight 50Hz hum when I place my ear close to the power transformer, but this does not affect listening to music at all. There is no scratching noise overall. As it is an old item, it may appear later. The front and rear panels have been cleaned and are in very good condition.

The wooden case has been polished with WATOCO oil. There is a scratch mark on the front right side of the wooden case. It is not very noticeable.
