A really fine condition tube amp from 1959 by one of the premier companies of the time period. Uses a strong matched set of 1962/3 Siemens Munich 6BQ5 from W.

Germany output tubes which considered a premier set of output tubes. All the tubes in this unit have been tested and are green on my BK 667 tester. I've gone thought the power supply and checked the capacitors to verify all is well - no hum at all on this - I replaced the coupling caps as they were leaking DC. All controls were deoxidized and all of them are working as they should.

All knobs are original and really look sharp freshly polished. I don't replace parts just because they are old. The new stuff going in is not likely going to last another 60 years like the original parts. I make sure they are doing what they should be doing or only then do I replace with new.

All the inputs have been tested. The only part of this that is not original is the faceplate. This generation of Fisher amps used a brass plated steel faceplate and the lettering and the brass wore off from use. I reproduced the graphic and had it turned into a clear sticker on gold paint with a clear coat sticker to protect it. It really looks sharp - sharper than most X-101STs you will find and it will last indefinitely. Uses four 6BQ5/EL84 power tubes Siemens Munich W. Germany, one 5AR4 rectifier (J&J), Six 12AX7 (Sylvania). Ignore the photo that shows 1 as amperex - I've swapped it out so all 4 match. They are all marked rX3 2. This is a classic amplifier that will only appreciate in value over time. It is one of the best Fisher amps I have heard. It comes down to massive transformers eeking out about 20 watts/channel. If you wonder what all the hype is over tube gear, come on out and you will know after you have heard it. For export purposes, this unit contains no mercury, no selenium, and no cadmium plating.
