SCOTT LK-72-B TUBE INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER. Very Good Condition - See Pictures. All Pots, Switches, and Tube Sockets Cleaned and Serviced. The LK-72-B is basically the kit version of the Scott 299D. Excellent sounding vintage tube amplifier. The difference between the LK-72 and LK-72B is the output tubes are near the back of the chassis for better cooling. Scott made some of my favorite vintage tube amps.

A must have for a vintage audiophile. The LK-72 offers the finest performance and greatest reliability of any integrated stereo amplifier kit available. Since its introduction the superb performance of the LK-72 has been acclaimed by electronic experts and thousands of enthusiastic kit builders. Unlike conventional amplifiers that supply their rated power output only in the midrange frequencies, the LK-72 provides a full 40 watt per channel down to 20 cps.

Distortion is below 0.8% throughout. The LK-72, like all Scott amplifiers, is completely stable with any type of load or even with no load. The use of an electrolytic aluminium chassis, DC heated preamp tubes, copper shielded power transformers, and carefully filtered power supply insure total hum and noise below 25mV even on phono inputs.

Merely 15-20 hours are required for the average kit builder to assemble the LK-72 using Scott's foolproof assembly procedures. The only adjustment required is the DC balance which is quickly accomplished by an ingenious hum-null method. A true self-balancing phase splitter eliminates all other adjustments and insures that your LK-72 will exceed its conservative specifications. The LK-72 is an ideal choice for the finest stereo music systems. Power output: 40 watts per channel into 8 (stereo).
