This is a Scott Stereomaster Model 222-D Tube Stereo Integrated Amplifier from 1964. Has a quad of Sovtek 7189 output tubes and a Sovtek 5AR4 rectifier tube. It has had restoration work done as newer Orange drop caps are in the output tube circuit as well as newer electrolytics as seen in the under chassis photo. The can capacitors mounted on top of the chassis get slightly warm after a half hour of use. Tested on the Extra input with a CD player and the Low Mag input with a Rotel turntable.
Sounds good and equal both channels. Some lettering on the faceplate and the chassis has worn off. The Bass and Treble controls adjust fine as a unit, but are tight when trying to adjust separately for each channel. The wood case is a vintage Fisher one and has been adapted for the Scott. The unit is in overall good condition. The item "Vintage Scott Stereomaster Model 222-D Tube Stereo Integrated Amplifier" is in sale since Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
