Excellent Condition - Face Plate is Pristine - See Pictures. For sale is the gorgeous, rare, 1960 H. These units were producted in very small numbers and it's unlikely to find another one listed for sale, especially in this condition. I've had my technician (a guy who works on hifi equipment day in and day out) fully go through this piece ensuring 100% functionality and even he remarked how good it sounded.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own this amazing piece of hi-fi history. Remove and replace four output tube coupling capacitors with Nichicon QXP types. Remove weak selenium rectifier bridge (bias power supply) and replace with silicon type.
Check power supply B+ voltages (high voltages) both circuits, exceeds specs. Thorough cleaning of all switches and controls. Repair seized bass control shaft. Clean all tube socket connections.
Remove four 6CA7 RCA (Mullard) output tubes and carefully test. All test strong, near new. Replace four feet (old but original 1960's type).
Carefully set DC bias, DC balance, and AC balance both channels. Check all power supply capacitors for adequate filtering / integrity. Full use and listening test. Power output: 37 watts per channel into 8 (stereo).Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz. Speaker load impedance: 4 to 16. Valve complement: 5 x ECC83, 1 x ECC80, 3 x ECF80, 4 x EL34, 2 x 5U4GB.
