For sale is this HH Scott LK-48 integrated amplifier in working restored condition. The front panel has some marks but overall is in nice shape. For reliability, most of the capacitors have been replaced, even though there were only a few bad ones. The three "cans" on the chassis are not connected and remain in place for looks. The resistors are within spec, with one bad power resistor being replaced. The old rectifier was replaced with a modern one. The power switch section of the volume control was missing and has been replaced. The new switch is larger and I had to cut a little of the chrome control section cover to make it fit. It cannot be seen unless looking at the amp from the back. To turn the amp on, push the volume control in and then pull back out, and the same to turn it off. All controls and switches work properly. The waferboard on the input selector switch was coming apart and has been epoxied. Sometimes you need to wiggle it a little for a good connection, but it is not a problem and will probably go away with use. I did not want to use deoxit on it because I'm not sure how it will affect the epoxy. All tubes were checked on a Knight 600A tube tester. The four Baldwin 6BQ5 tubes tested at 83%, 84%, 87%, and 83%. The RCA 7199 was 87% and 84%, and the Sylvania 100% and 100%. All of the 12AX7 tubes are Tube Amp Doctor and tested at (93%, 92%), (94%, 93%), (92%, 92%), (94%, 96%). The unmarked 5AR4 tested at 85% and 86%. I recommend using only vintage 6BQ5 tubes. I restored the amp about 2 years ago and used it for about 6 months with no problems.

I ran it for over 2 hours before listing to make sure all is well. New feet were installed and also included is a reprint of the owner's manual and the original knobs. The power cord is original and has the Scott logo on the plug.

ADDITIONAL INFO: The tube glow in the photo appears brighter than it actually is. Also, the circuit construction is as Scott intended and the amp was not gutted and modified, as others have done (claiming superior performance) but in my opinion it ruins the amp. The engineers at Scott knew what they were doing.
