Fisher X-101C Tube Integrated Amp
Up for sale is a vintage Fisher X-101C tube integrated amp using four 7591 output tubes. It was sitting in the garage for the last 10 years and it has quite surface rusts on the chassis. I was cleaning with wire brush and the rusts could be removed, however you can see some spots are worse.
Now it looks a lot better than before. I will leave it to the next owner to clean more and thoroghly. It was completely checked and repaired any defects in the amp by a vintage audio repair shop.
So a fresh new Mallory electrolytic capacitor in the main power supply was installed to replace a bad multitap aluminum can capacitor. Also all the tubes were also checked and a few of 12AX7 tubes were replaced with all vintage american made tubes. Two original Fisher 7591 tubes were replaced with equivalent American made vintage sustitutes. Good news is that it produces amazingly sweet sound in both channels.
It had a wooden cabinet but the condition was so poor that I threw it away unfortunately withoug any attention. It is now in plug- and- lay condition.I will pack it up with extra care to make it arrive safely to the new owner.
