HH Scott 222c is a very desirable Vintage HI-FI component from 1962. This was Modified by the Maple Shade people back east about 6 years ago for a friend of mine now passed on, who was a HI-FI fanatic from the late 50's on. He took great pride in his art of gutting chassis and installing his own designs from Tube to Solid State and back.

This amp was hooked into his system at his passing. The Amp was modified to allow only Phono Hookup. All tone and switch controls are disconnected except for the far right switch (on-off) and 2nd to the left (Phono/CD or what have you) extra input switch which I had a tech run a lead to the phono pre amp input allowing the user to connect CD or Tape or Tuner etc. The only dial that is connected is the Loudness/Volume. His whole thing was to eliminate any signal loss.

As you can see there are only two 12ax7 preamp tubes and the other two were replaced for extra capacitors. This amp by far exceeds the originals capacitance quite a bit, as Maple Shades reasoning was for better bottom and transients and perhaps an extra 4-6 watts of power in the process up to 26 watts instead of the original 20 watts. The Amp runs my 92db A/D/S L520 speakers fine.

Gold Tube Sockets and Separate Power Tube Bias Adjustment Pots. The back ground is pure black quiet with this amp. The tube complimentary are as followed.

5ar4 Sovtek from Viva Tubes. EL84 NOS Russian Military 6p14p-EV 6BQ5 Grade Matched Quad from Viva Tubes.

BEST OF THE BUNCH FROM RUSSIA. RCA NOS 12ax7 red label.

All tubes test 90 to 110 (all 4 6BQ5's 110%) Only 20 hours on the tubes. PLEASE VIEW THE PHOTOS TO UNDER STAND THE GREAT CONDITION OF THIS AMP.

THE LAST PHOTOS ARE OF THE MAPLE SHADE ACCESSORIES INCLUDING THREE (3) SOLID BRASS FOOTERS (7LBS EA), SOLID MAPLE BOARDS TO ATTACH THE FOOTERS TO THE AMP BOTTOM AND SIX (6) SOLID BRASS TUBE RINGS. TO UNDERSTAND MORE ABOUT THOSE AND THE AMP PLEASE VISIT MAPLE SHADE ON THE NET. NOTE: THERE IS NO TOP NOR BOTTOM PLATE SUPPLIED WITH THIS AMP.

INSTEAD OF THE BRASS FOOTERS I USED ISO-BLOCKS WHICH I WILL INCLUDE WITH THE AMP. Scott 222c Stereo Master Integrated Tube Amp" is in sale since Monday, May 10, 2021.
