Heathkit model AA-151 stereo tube integrated amplifier from 1963. In very good original cosmetic condition. The front panel labels are undamaged, as are the original set of knobs. It has all of it's original components, including the original set of Heathkit tubes. The 6BQ5 output tubes were manufactured by Mullard.
I briefly powered up the amplifier using a variac. Some of the controls were noisy, so I cleaned all of the controls and continued testing. The controls are now virtually noise free and move freely and smoothly. The amp's output is strong, balanced and without distortion.Power supply hum is at a normal low level. No other testing was performed other than what is described above.
No modifications have been made to the circuits and the lead routing and soldering is at a professional level. As with all vintage tube amplifiers, a tech should go through the amp to ensure long term reliability and safety. Note: I have also listed the matching Heathkit tuner (model AJ-32) which is a stereo multiplex tuner.
It also is in good, clean and working condition. The item "Heathkit AA-151 Stereo Tube Integrated Amplifier Amp Clean Unit Working 6BQ5" is in sale since Monday, December 9, 2019.
