A new approach that realizes high sound quality by combining a vacuum tube and a solid state circuit and wearing a novel visual design. The preamplifier section consists of 12AX7a x 2 and 12AT7 x 2 vacuum tube circuits, and the vacuum tubes are housed in a stylish protective cage. The output stage is a direct-coupled solid-state design. 100W + 100W (8), 160W + 160W (4) maximum output. We adopt Macintosh monogram heatsink (McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks) of new design which treated "Mc" logo which improved heat dissipation efficiency.

We adopt Macintosh original technology and function (power guard, sentry monitor, pass-through, HXD headphone output, power control). Bass (low range) and Treble (high range) Each has a tone control that can be adjusted in the range of -10dB to + 10dB.

Equipped with phono input for MM cartridge. Achieves an extremely flat frequency response and minimizes noise and distortion by adopting resistors and capacitors with less error.

The traditional Macintosh mirror-finished stainless steel chassis and aluminum die-cast product name badges on both sides match the Macintosh system comfortably. Frequency characteristics: + 0, -0.5dB (20Hz-20kHz), + 0, -3dB (10Hz-100kHz).

Harmonic distortion: 0.03% max. Dynamic headroom: 1.8 dB. Input sensitivity: 3.0mV (Phono MM), 300mV (unbalanced), 600mV (balanced). SN ratio: 80dB (Phono MM), 97dB (High Level).
