The FISHER X-101 STEREO INTEGRATED TUBE AMPLIFIER (THE 101) With CUSTOM Wood Case - Made In USA. Very first version of the famous X-101 series amps. Serial number is 10068 or the 68th one produced. For sale is a Fisher "The 101" aka The Fisher X-101ST that has been caped and re- perform as good as new.

This was Fisher's very first integrated amplifier! We carefully restore these amps so that they maintain the vintage-correct sound/ This design is rated at 20WPC and sports the monstrous output transformers and healthy B+ to support this wattage! Cosmetically the amplifier is obviously not mint, but given its 1959 date of birth, Its holding better than most. Please study the pics carefully. It has face plate and top-side chassis wear/patina - however under the hood it was still very clean.

The original lettering is still present and the cosmetics do not impact performance in any way. All sockets, controls, pots etc are thoroughly cleaned, and values of important components checked and replaced if necessary. The Two Multi-caps have been replaced as well as all of the Tubes and the lamp has been replaced with an original. This amp has that wonderful Fisher sweetness that only gets better as you turn it up!! These are highly sought after classics for a reason!

These have it all, the look and sound that exemplifies what the best engineering and parts can offer. The wood case was built from repurposed wood from an early 60's speaker cabinet, and is not original, it slips over the amp chassis.
